چکیده
Chloroform accumulation in the body and increase its steady-state concentrations blood of exposed people have been established to be associated with polymorphisms enzyme genes a genotype involved metabolism water disinfection byproducts (A415G EPHX1 gene, C1091T CYP2E1 zero mutations GSTT1 GSTM1 genes) (р < 0.000001). These correlate higher chloroform levels consuming chlorinated drinking water: by 43.8 % for gene polymorphism; 68.2 GSTT1; 80.4 0.01). genetic polymorphism makes much more probable (levels ≥ Р75), which is most pronounced when combined GSTТ1 polymorphism. The study results allow us consider hetero- homozygous polymorphic genotypes AG/GG CT/TT null allele as predisposition factors body. This increases probability health outcomes chronic exposure this byproduct. A415G alleles their combinations including combination and/or can used informative biomarkers sensitivity assessing risks trihalomethanes (chloroform) at not exceeding MPC water.

Occupational exposure to styrene: modulation of cytogenetic damage and levels of urinary metabolites of styrene by polymorphisms in genes CYP2E1, EPHX1, GSTM1, GSTT1 and GSTP1.
Styrene is widely used in the production of various plastics, synthetic rubber and resins. The aim of this study was to evaluate if individual polymorphisms in xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes, related with the metabolic fate of styrene, could modify individual susceptibility to the possible genotoxic effects of the styrene exposure. Twenty-eight reinforced plastic workers and 28 control subject...

Using generalized linear models with natural-spline smoothing functions, we detected effects of specific xenobiotic metabolizing genes and gene-environment interactions on levels of benzene metabolites in 250 benzene-exposed and 136 control workers in Tianjin, China (for all individuals, the median exposure was 0.512 p.p.m. and the 10th and 90th percentiles were 0.002 and 6.40 p.p.m., respectiv...
متن کاملAssociation of genetic polymorphisms in CYP2E1, MPO, NQO1, GSTM1, and GSTT1 genes with benzene poisoning.
Metabolic enzymes involved in benzene activation or detoxification, including NAD(P)H, quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), myeloperoxidase (MPO), glutathione-S-transferase mu-1 (GSTM1), and glutathione-S-transferase theta-1 (GSTT1), were studied for their roles in human susceptibility to benzene poisoning. The potential interactions of these metabolic enzymes with lif...
متن کاملBiomarkers as biological indicators of xenobiotic exposure.
The presence of a xenobiotic in the environment always represents a risk for living organisms. However, to talk about impregnation there is a need to detect toxicity in the organism, and the concept of intoxication is related to specific organ alterations and clinical symptoms. Moreover, the relationship between the toxic levels within the organism and the toxic response is rather complex and h...
متن کاملPolymorphisms in the CYP2E1 and GSTM1 Genes as Possible Protection Factors for Leprosy Patients
BACKGROUND The CYP2E1 and GSTM1 genes encode metabolic enzymes that have key functions in drug modification and elimination. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS We investigated the possible effects of CYP2E1 and GSTM1 polymorphisms in 71 leprosy patients and in 110 individuals from the general population. The GSTM1*0 null allele and INDEL CYP2E1*1D mutant genotypes were analyzed by conventional PC...
